YQ Design Studio works across a variety of surfaces, including paper, glass, metal, leather, luggage, fragrance bottles, keepsakes, and select specialty items.
Depending on the material and project, personalization may include hand calligraphy, engraving, painted monograms, or hot foiling. If you have something unique in mind, feel free to send a photo or description so I can recommend the best approach.
-
Yes! Client-provided pieces are welcome. Before beginning, I’ll consider the material, shape, available surface area, and condition of the item to determine which personalization method will give you the best result. If you’re unsure whether an item will work, simply include a photo with your inquiry.
-
Absolutely. Custom projects can be developed from an existing idea, reference image, color palette, invitation suite, brand guidelines, or even a general concept you’d like help bringing to life.
The design process is collaborative, with each piece thoughtfully developed to complement the occasion, brand, or person it’s being created for.
GENERAL & SERVICES
-
On-site personalization is available for brand activations, retail experiences, product launches, corporate events, weddings, private celebrations, and other special occasions.
Each experience is tailored to the setting, selected items, guest count, and overall vision of the event.
-
Capacity varies depending on the personalization technique, complexity of the design, selected item, and event duration. Simple initials and monograms generally allow for a faster guest flow, while names, phrases, engraving details, or more intricate designs require additional time.
Once I know your guest count and event details, I can recommend an approach that balances personalization with a smooth guest experience.

Of course! You don’t need to have every detail figured out before reaching out. Inspo pics, colors, existing stationery or branding, a rough sketch, or simply a description of what you have in mind are all helpful starting points.
From there, I can help develop a direction that works beautifully for both the project and the surface it will live on.

Planning a Custom Project?
-
Pricing is based on the service, project scope, quantity, materials, personalization complexity, timeline, and any production or travel needs involved.
On-site services have established starting rates, while custom projects are quoted individually based on their requirements. Once I understand the details of your project, I’ll provide a tailored quote outlining the recommended approach and scope.
-
For on-site events, reaching out 1–2 months in advance is recommended whenever possible. For in-studio commissions, approximately 3 weeks is ideal.
Earlier inquiries allow more time for design development, sourcing, samples, and event planning, but shorter timelines may still be accommodated depending on availability and project scope.
-
When my schedule allows, yes. Rush availability depends on the project’s complexity, materials, sourcing needs, and timeline. If your date is approaching, you’re still welcome to inquire—I’ll let you know what can realistically be accommodated within the time available.
-
Yes! YQ Design Studio is based in New York City and available for travel. Standard local travel is included with on-site bookings, while destination events and projects requiring extended travel are quoted separately based on location and event needs.
-
Once your inquiry is received, I’ll review your project details and follow up with any questions needed to better understand your vision, timeline, and scope. From there, we’ll determine the best approach, confirm availability, and you’ll receive a custom quote with the details and next steps needed to move forward.
